Chat messages and media
Back up accessible messages, timestamps and supported media, then read them in conversation or list view.
About WABak
WABak helps people and teams back up accessible WhatsApp chats, contacts and group-member records so completed data can be viewed, searched and exported when needed.
Why we built it
Important conversations, unsaved numbers, group-member details and supported media can be difficult to preserve in one organized place. Restore backups are valuable for returning data to WhatsApp, but they are not designed as a readable business archive.
WABak focuses on what happens after data is saved: checking a conversation, finding a record, reviewing contacts, preserving group information and exporting the supported data needed for an authorized workflow.
What we build
WABak brings related backup tasks into one desktop workflow while keeping each record type clear.
Back up accessible messages, timestamps and supported media, then read them in conversation or list view.
Keep available numbers, names, country codes, account relationships and supported last-message context.
Preserve available group names, member numbers, nicknames, admin status and supported membership fields.
Find completed backup records and export supported chats to HTML or Excel, contacts and members to Excel, and available media separately.
Product principles
A dependable backup product needs clear behavior and honest limits as much as it needs export features.
A saved record should be easy to inspect and useful for the task that justified keeping it.
The core completed archive stays on the computer running WABak, while users control exported files.
Product pages and guides should reflect released behavior rather than future or unverified capabilities.
Backup, export and restore are different workflows and should never be presented as interchangeable.
WABak is built for records users and organizations are permitted to access, retain and manage.
How the product evolves
WABak develops around real backup and handover needs instead of adding unrelated complexity.
Support questions and product feedback show where backup, search, viewing or export remains unclear.
The team checks the issue against the current client and the data that WhatsApp makes accessible.
Product changes, website claims and guidance are updated together so instructions match the released software.
