The moment a number is banned
According to WhatsApp, a banned account cannot open its chat history or its backups. If the ban is permanent, that history is effectively gone, along with the context behind every customer conversation.
Chat history in the app is locked while the number is banned.
Google Drive or iCloud backups stay tied to the banned number and cannot be restored to another one.
WhatsApp Web and export extensions can no longer connect, and even before a ban they often load only recent history.
Negotiations, agreed prices and next steps with customers disappear from view.
Customers you never saved as contacts are hard to find again.
Order photos, quotes and payment receipts shared in chats are out of reach.
WABak keeps what it synced while the account was linked. Chats saved before a ban stay viewable and searchable on your computer. WABak cannot recover anything that was never synced, and it does not unban accounts.

Export backed-up photos, videos, audio and documents when available. Media must have been accessible and saved during backup.
Basic is required for search, filters and all exports. Free includes backup and basic viewing.
Account environment settings
Environment Configuration is designed to address WhatsApp account environment issues. Per-account fingerprint and proxy settings help you manage environmental factors that may contribute to account restrictions, with the aim of reducing environment-related risk across your accounts.
Fingerprint settings are off by default and independent of the proxy. Preview the account window’s browser and device environment, including platform, language, timezone and resolution.
Choose a proxy configuration for each WhatsApp account window instead of applying the same choice to every account.
Import supported nodes from an HTTP or HTTPS subscription URL containing a plain-text or Base64 node list, then assign the imported proxies to your account windows.
Environment settings are only one part of risk management. They do not guarantee anonymity or freedom from account restrictions, or replace compliant use. Subscription import depends on the format provided.

Common questions
According to WhatsApp, while an account is banned you cannot access its chat history or backups. The backup only becomes available again if the number is unbanned, and it cannot be restored to a different number.
Chats you back up today stay on your computer tomorrow, whatever happens to the number.
